Bill, Drew and Kelty declaring the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ

To return to where we had served for many years and where our son, Drew, was raised was very emotional and a spiritually impacting time for us and for the tens of thousands who attended the conference in Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia.

Isaiah 12: 4 is what has motivated us and given us strength.
“Give thanks to the LORD, call upon His name, make known His deeds among the peoples, proclaim that His name is exalted.”

“Back to the Bible” was the theme.

Kelty, 18, our granddaughter shared her testimony to an enthusiastic crowd with amazing response from the people. Over 70% of the tens of thousands are under 25 years old!  Drew, her dad, shared about the generational impact, 4 generations of Hardings bearing witness to Christ and His Word and how the Holy Spirit has multiplied the growth of the church in this part of God’s vineyard. With so many young people present, the church leaders desire is that they would catch the vision of generational trusting, obeying and passing on the joy of knowing Jesus.

A GREAT HUNGER FOR THE WORD OF GOD!

As Bill preached in Amharic on the theme “Back to the Bible” it was amazing to see thousands of people pulling out their Bibles, reading it and listening intently to the message. Wow, praise the Lord with us!

KELTY celebrated her 18th birthday in the bush of Ethiopia! What a celebration!

Kelty will never forget this birthday as the crowd, the church leaders and Drew’s close friend, Temusken celebrated her. So fun to be part of this!

PRAY FOR:

  • God’s continued work in the hearts of the thousands of Ethiopians who have made decisions for Christ.
  • for the continued study of the Word of God in becoming authentic followers of Christ.
  • for the growth of the church both spiritually and numerically. Now there are 13 million believers in the SIM related church and over 13 thousand local churches!

A PERSONAL NOTE

Let us rejoice and praise God for this movement by the Spirit of God!  Thank you for praying for safety and for healing of the injury of my knee. I had no problem at all and all pain was gone while in Ethiopia.

Grace and I wish to thank you again for your investment in our lives and the mission that God has called us.  What a privilege to not only be God’s ambassadors but yours as well. To God be the glory!

More to come on this adventure to Ethiopia.
