Ethiopia/North America
DECEMBER 30, 2022
Looking back over the year 2022, we are reminded of God’s wonderful protection through all the changes.
Our friends in Ethiopia have weathered some extremely difficult situations. We praise God for His protection and pray for great blessing.
Our kids have weathered tough emotional situations with kids in college an ocean away and others doing well in their schools.
Our youngest and their family, Kyle and Margaret and four little ones, have had to TRUST the Lord’s Heart as the contractor responsible for the renovation of a flooded kitchen in their home embezzled money from them and did not pay the subs. He then walked off the job. How can one leave innocent people in such a difficult situation! Pray for them as they have lived with us for the past four months far away from where their lives are lived and handling it with such grace …but it’s NOT easy!
We thought we should also let you know that Grace and I were in an automobile accident the day before Thanksgiving. Grace’s knees hit the dashboard and now has some physical therapy but fortunately, we did not sustain any serious injuries. Praise God for that protection!
A guy did an illegal U-turn at the sign where it was posted NO U_TURN. He then sped off from the scene.
A couple of vehicles smashed on their brakes including us. We plowed into the truck in front of us. Our 2015 Toyota Highlander with 170,00 miles on it was taken to a body shop for repair. Just before Christmas, we found out that the vehicle was TOTALED. The Highlander served us well and now we have begun the search for a good replacement for our many travels.
Thank you for standing with us as you have. Would you please pray with us for God’s supply for what we need.
Praying for you and us as we navigate an ever changing world with a NEVER changing God.
James 1:17 “Every good and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does NOT change like shifting shadows.”
