Bill and Grace Harding making disciples through their lives and ministry.

The joy of making disciples!

Matthew 28:19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…..” This verse motivated us as we launched off to Ethiopia back in 1983. We have been involved passionately with the power of the gospel and the presence of the Holy Spirit to be obedient to this last command of Jesus Christ before His ascension to heaven. As we have been living in Charlotte, North Carolina, our focus of ministry has been the local Ethiopian diaspora community without neglecting our regular connection directly with Ethiopian church leaders in Ethiopia. Wow, what joy it has been moving forward with this purposefully!

This is Robel!

Robel, an Ethiopian, has become a dear friend and now a wonderful believer in Jesus Christ. He is an entrepreneur with amazing vision and experience doing all for the glory of the Lord and for God’s purposes in the food industry.  He started from scratch cleaning floors in restaurants. Today, he has established a restaurant that he owns, Community Kitchen with a Purpose, where he trains immigrants in the food industry and places them in restaurants across the country with good pay. In doing this, he is discipling others. His spiritual and professional story is amazing!

This is Robel’s parents and brother celebrating their anniversary with hundreds in the Ethiopian community. It is in times like this that relationships are formed and then established to create impact for further spiritual growth.

What a joy to disciple our  children and our 12 grands! This has been a very busy few months celebrating family milestones.

Drew, our oldest son, walking the bride, his third daughter, KAIA on May 9, 2026, Mother’s Day.  It was an amazing day of celebration, with perfect weather and a gorgeous venue and lots of family and friends!   Kaia grew up in Stellenbosch, South Africa with her four sisters whose names all start with the letter K. Kaia is a senior at Liberty University.  She is a great athlete having played field hockey at Liberty.
She loves the Lord passionately and is thrilled to be married. May God bless this union!

KASON Brehem is the groom. A wonderful, godly man with a great love for Jesus and for Kaia, his new bride. Kason comes from a family of 8 siblings living in Lynchburg, Virginia. Each sibling starts with the letter K. He is also a senior at Liberty and plays lacrosse. We are thrilled to have him as part of our extended family!

Selah Harding, is daughter of our 2nd son, Ryan, and his wife Melissa.  Selah just graduated from Liberty University on May 16, 2026 with a bachelor’s degree in Worship Music. She already has a job waiting for her in leading worship in a large church in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  Selah is an avid photographer. She also studied abroad at the Torchbear Center in Taurnhof, Austria.

Bill had the honor and privilege to be the officiant of this wedding!  Filled with joy, Bill said he tied the knot as tight as he could. The rest is up to God’s grace. What a fun filled time it was!

Here is Kaia in her beautiful wedding dress with her mom, Janna Harding. This wedding dress was the same one that Janna wore in her wedding! The wedding took place on a beautiful vineyard in Blue Ridge, Virginia.  Kason and Kaia have a home very close to the campus of Liberty University. Grace and I loved watching her grow up to be this beautiful bride who desires to walk with Jesus. So, so proud of her!

This is Selah’s sister, Emery Harding, who just graduated from high school. She will be leaving this fall to study Bible at a Capernwray Torchbear Center in Sweden, Holsby,  after which she will be going to Austria to study at a beautiful Capernwray center called Taurnhof.

Grace and Bill wish to thank you for your prayers with the medical challenges we faced the past three months. Bill had a full knee replacement of his left knee and then immediately a UTI which put him in the hospital for a week. Very scary and very serious! At the same time, Grace had an ocular plastic surgeon take out a melanoma and a basil cell cancer off her left cheek near her eye. It was a rough few months but our family and church community rallied in an amazing way.  We are both doing much better and are on the mend as you can see in the photos above. We are so grateful to our Lord Jesus, the Great Physician, who has given us joy in the journey and healing as tough as it was. May you too experience joy in your journey.

Sending this with love,

Bill and Grace
