Bill’s Ethiopia trip cancelled!
In a response to the growing global spread of the Corona virus, COVID-19, SIM’s Management Team has asked us to cancel all international travel for a time. We have had a year of planning to take a team of 21 students and church leaders from Marshall University and First Baptist Church Kenova, WV, for a sports outreach in predominantly Muslims areas of Ethiopia. The departure date was March 20. My son, Drew Harding, and church leaders of the SIM related churches, EKHC had made many preparations for this outreach. March madness had turned into March sadness for many of us. Yet, we know God is on the throne and we rest in Him.
SIM USA has a New President!
Last week Randy Fairman took over the responsibilities as Director of SIM USA from Bruce Johnson who has retired after two five year terms as Director of SIM USA. We thank the Lord for Bruce’s able leadership this past decade and we are excited to have Randy at the helm moving forward with efforts to reach those who are living and dying without Christ in the least reached areas of our world.
